Ezio Auditore Crowned Most Popular Character
Celebrating With Special Wallpapers, Acrylic Sets, And A Body Pillow
Assassin’s Creed’s most well-known protagonist, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, is crowned first place in Ubisoft Japan’s Character Awards! The online competition was held in celebration of Ubisoft Japan’s 30th anniversary since its founding and to determine the most popular characters from all their titles to date. Voting went live last November 1st, 2024, and fans could head on over to the official Ubisoft Japan website’s special 30th anniversary page to vote for their top three favorites.
The top five were announced earlier today on Ubisoft Japan’s official website and X (Twitter), and Ezio takes first place in the poll. To commemorate the occasion, a special page on the site has been created depicting the grand prize-winning character in a different style. Four free digital wallpapers for PC and smartphones showcasing Ezio are also available for everyone to download. However, 30 lucky fans will be chosen by lottery to receive a special acrylic stand set of Ezio, and another 10 will win an exclusive 180 cm jumbo body pillow in Ezio’s likeness.
Besides Ezio, Ubisoft also showcased the nine other characters of the poll’s top ten. Watch Dogs’ main character Aiden Pearce takes second place in the ranking, followed by Edward James Kenway of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in third.

⚫︎ 3rd: Edward James Kenway (Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag)
⚫︎ 4th: Bayek (Assassin’s Creed Origins)
⚫︎ 5th: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin’s Creed)
⚫︎ 6th: Wrench (Watch Dogs)
⚫︎ 7th: Pagan Min (Far Cry)
⚫︎ 8th: Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla)
⚫︎ 9th: Kassandra (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey)
⚫︎ 10th: Aaron Keener (The Division 2)
Additionally, there was also a poll held for Ubisoft’s game series as franchises, and Assassin’s Creed has taken first place as well, beating out Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs on second and third place respectively. Fourth place was the Division series, followed by Far Cry as fifth.
