In the recently concluded Jump Festa 2025, Akatsuki Games revealed new visuals for their upcoming Kaiju No. 8-themed game, known as Kaiju No. 8: The Game (subject to change). The key visual features the titular protagonist, Kaiju No. 8, on a red background with the game’s title on the back. Then, the five in-game visuals bear an image depicting the five main characters of the series, namely Kaiju No. 8, Reno Ichikawa, Kikoru Shinomiya, Mina Ashiro, and Sōshirō Hoshina.

The game was officially announced six months ago in June, unveiling the project through a trailer. Tentatively titled as Kaiju No. 8: The Game, it is set to be released on PC via Steam, Android, and iOS as a free-to-play title with optional microtransactions. However, as of writing, the game will only be available to play in Japan, with no announcement as to whether it will be having a global launch. The exact release date is also still kept under wraps.

Kaiju No. 8 is an anime series based on the popular manga of the same name by Naoya Matsumoto, set in a dystopian world where hostile monsters called kaiju regularly cause disaster and destruction. An alternate version of Japan holds the title of the highest rate of kaiju attacks in the world, and thus the Japanese Anti-Kaiju Defense Force was born to fend them off. The manga sold over 17 million copies in Japan, with the anime also proving to be highly popular with its top rankings on major video streaming platforms.

The character acrylic block giveaway will give the prizes to three lucky winners per character, totaling to 15 winners all in all.
