Mafia: The Old Country Teased on Gamescom ONL 2024
Gamescom ONL 2024 capped off with a short cinematic teaser for Mafia: The Old Country, the latest in the iconic action adventure Mafia game series. According to the game’s press release, Mafia: The Old Country will put players in "the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily, "where they would have to "fight to survive in this dangerous and unforgiving era."
Hangar 13 Head Nick Baynes noted, "we’re going back to the roots of what fans love about the franchise, crafting a deep, linear narrative with that classic mob movie feeling."
This new title for the Mafia series is set to release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S some time in 2025, with the teaser hinting that players will get a closer look at the game this December.
Although an exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, fans of the series can now wishlist the game on Steam, the PlayStation Store, and Xbox Store. As a special treat from 2K Games, all released games in the Mafia franchise are on sale on Steam until September 2.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle receives a brand new trailer narrated by Troy Baker, announcing its official release date and preorder information. Set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark and the Last Crusade, Indiana Jones finds himself in Africa facing the devious Emmerich Voss. The game will be set in many different countries and places like Egypt in Africa, Himalayas in Tibet, and more.

Legendary game designer Peter Molyneux made his triumphant return at Gamescom ONL 2024 with Masters of Albion, a god simulation game that draws inspiration from his other works like Black & White and Fable.
Players will take on the role of a powerful deity, shaping their kingdom from the ground up. By day, they'll oversee the construction of bustling towns and manage their people and resources. But as night falls, their town will need defending from "the horrors of Albion." Players can possess a townsfolk at any time and explore the world they have built.

Civilization VII Announces Official Gameplay Showcase
Ed Beach, the creative director of Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, has announced that the long-awaited sequel to 2016’s Civilization VI will soon reveal its new in-game narrator, along with a host of new features and gameplay mechanics. The presentation also revealed the game’s official release date alongside the first leader and civilization to be a part of the game’s roster with the Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack.
The official gameplay revealed during the presentation highlights the Age of Antiquity, a time when humankind takes its first steps into the annals of history. Civilization VII enters Early Access early February next year and will subsequently release as a full game on February 11, 2025.

Monster Hunter Wilds Trailer Showcases Several New Monsters!
Monster Hunter Wilds just dropped a new trailer, featuring an intense battle with a spider-like brand-new monster and Windward Plains’ apex predator!
The trailer kicks off with a sneak peak into the game's story. The game's protagonist, joined by seasoned hunter Olivia and handler Alma, ventures into the game's newest locale: the Scarlet Forest. There, they encounter a formidable new threat: the Lala Barina, a Temnoceran with a spider-like appearance. This arachnid-beast is able to unfurl its thorax, revealing a stunning yet deadly blooming rose.
In Monster Hunter Wilds, the monsters players will encounter will change with the weather, which can shift dynamically. During the harsh Fallow period, the land becomes barren, driving predators into a frenzy. This leads to more aggressive and dangerous monster herds. The Fallow period varies depending on the locale. In the Windward Plains, for instance, colossal sandstorms, known as the Sandtide, accompanied by thunder can sweep through the region. And when these conditions arise, the apex monster of the area may make its appearance.
While the aforementioned locale's apex monster was only hinted at in the Summer Game Fest trailer last June, the latest gameplay footage finally unveils its true form: the Rey Dau. This Flying Wyvern seems to be a force to be reckoned with. In the new trailer, players witnessed the Rey Dau's immense power as it unleashed devastating lightning strikes that sent the hunter to their knees.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch worldwide on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. The game's Xbox Store page isn't live yet, but you can wishlist it on Steam and the PlayStation Store.

A short gameplay showcase for the ever-popular Mai Shiranui was unveiled on Gamescom. As the successor to Shiranui-style ninjutsu, Mai sets off for South Town after receiving a crucial tip from the dutiful monk, Sokaku Mochizuki.
This modern-day kunoichi enters the fray with renewed purpose, her fiery spirit and polished techniques illuminating the shadows. The trailer features Mai in a sleek new biker outfit, portraying a more mature version of the character, while a remix of her Fatal Fury 2 theme plays. Her gameplay remains familiar, with a focus on pyrokinesis and her graceful, dance-like

Play Predecessor for Free Now!
Predecessor, an online battle arena game from Omeda Studios, is now available to play for free on Steam, Epic Games, Xbox Store, and PS Store! Inspired by Epic Games’ own battle arena title, Paragon, Predecessor blends shooter action and MOBA strategy.
The studio had recently pushed out its milestone V1.0 patch update, with more updates coming and details to be shared in the coming weeks.

Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis Phantom Thieves Trailer
A new trailer for the Episode Aigis DLC was revealed, featuring Persona 5's protagonist, Joker, as part of the DLC! It seems like he’ll be a boss fight challenge, similar to how Persona 5 Royal introduced battles against the main characters from previous Persona games.
Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis releases September 30, 2024 for the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. In this DLC, you play as Aigis, stuck in the dorm with the other S.E.E.S. members and reliving the same day—March 31st—over and over. Episode Aigis acts as an epilogue, diving into the challenges faced by Aigis and the S.E.E.S. members as they confront each other and their inner struggles, exploring themes of death, the meaning of life, and new beginnings.

Starfield: Shattered Space Arrives on September 30, 2024
Starfield’s long-awaited expansion, Shattered Space, will finally be released on September 30, 2024! Additionally, the game will have a free update tonight to add the "REV-8quot; buggy to add the also long-awaited driving feature into the game as well!
Shattered Space is the first story expansion for Starfield. Game director Todd Howard has described the expansion's scope as similar to Fallout's Far Harbor expansion. Though further details remain under wraps, it is expected to expand the game's narrative as you journey to save Anasko, restore the Citadel, and decide the fate of your crew and the cosmos.
Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred Mercenaries Unveiled
Diablo 4’s mercenaries were unveiled in their Gamescom 2024 trailer. The highly-anticipated Vessel of Hatred update will be dropping on all platforms by October 8, 2024. It will feature new skills, classes, and maps for players to explore.
With Vessel of Hatred, Diablo 4 will introduce more mercenaries—from shieldbearers to demons—however, details on the new characters are still under wraps. The update also focuses on the new region of Nahantu as you embark in search of Neyrelle who seeks to destroy the Prime Evil Mephisto.

Genshin Impact’s Xbox Release Date Revealed With Natlan Trailer
A trailer featuring Genshin Impact’s new region Natlan was shown on Gamescom as a prelude for its release date reveal on Xbox X|S Game Pass. It will become available to play on Xbox Series X/S by November 20, 2024.
Around 10 characters were revealed as part of the Natlan update, and it’s confirmed that Genshin’s biggest version release will roll out soon, on August 28.
Zenless Zone Zero Showcases Version 1.1 Characters and Teases Sons of Calydon Members
Zenless Zone Zero releases a showcase trailer featuring the NEPS; a faction of characters modeled after police enforcement, as well as a quick reveal of two upcoming characters from the Sons of Calydon faction. Qinyi’s banner is live now with the implementation of Version 1.1, with Jane Doe coming soon after. Version 1.2 will arrive by the start of Q4 2024.
Naraka Bladepoint x Tomb Raider Crossover Announced for August 2024
2021’s free-to-play action battle royale game Naraka Bladepoint just announced a collaboration with the Tomb Raider herself, Lara Croft, available starting August 28, 2024.
World of Warcraft: The War Within Global Launch on August 26, 2024!
Johanna Faris, the president of Blizzard, went up on the Gamescom stage to announce that WoW’s latest expansion, The War Within, will have its global launch on August 26, 2024! Additionally, the expansion’s early access will be available on August 23, 2024 as well. Faris also explained that there will be events in October to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Lastly, Blizzard will be having its first-ever Warcraft Direct, which aims to showcase more about the franchise as well as future plans for the WoW universe.

It was just announced that Gamescom will be held on other continents as well! Starting with Gamescom Asia, it will be held in Singapore on October 17-20, 2024, and Gamescom Latam will be held on April 30–May 4, 2025 in Sao Paulo, Brazil!
