C4SH is Coming to Borderlands 4 in Q1 2026
Borderlands 4 is getting a brand-new DLC Vault Hunter in early 2026 with the announcement of C4SH. As revealed by Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford alongside a brief teaser trailer, C4SH is a former dealer-bot from a casino turned Vault Hunter after seeing people's fortunes being made and unmade by chance.
Unlike other robots in the Borderlands universe that only have specific functions programmed in them, C4SH has a personality and intelligence of his own. Seeking the thrill of chance for himself, he now roams Kairos with guns and cards up his sleeves as its newest Vault Hunter.
With C4SH's inclination with gambling and taking chances, that background is also reflected in his playstyle. With the uncertainty of the outcomes embedded in his kit, C4SH could become the most powerful Vault Hunter in the game, or the opposite when unlucky.
Card Animations Demonstrated by Randy Pitchford

As a former professional poker player and magician himself, Pitchford is adept at using sleight of hand card tricks and of the like. With this, the developers used his demonstrations to animate C4SH's card handling.
Pitchford also showcased clips of early development footage on how the team used his demos to implement his movements into C4SH's animations.

C4SH is set to be released on Q1 2026 as a DLC character alongside a new storyline, including the game’s first big story DLC, Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. He will be free content for Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe Edition owners and Vault Hunter Pack owners.
