　⚫︎　Stellar Blade developer Shift Up has partnered with Tencent to publish its upcoming cross-platform game, Project Spirits. The game, co-developed with Tencent affiliate Yongxing Interactive on Unreal Engine 5, was previously called Project Witches.
　⚫︎　Stellar Blade posted 192,000 peak PC players, the highest for a single-player PlayStation port. The record was previously held by 2018’s Ghost of Tsushima, with 77,000. God of War reached 73,000, while Marvel’s Spider-Man, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Last of Us followed behind.

Stellar Blade Overview

Stellar Blade is an action-adventure game developed by the Korean-led studio Shift-Up Studios and published by Sony. It was released exclusively for PlayStation 5 on April 26, 2024 and released on PC on June 11, 2025. Players step into the role of EVE, a member of the Colony's 7th Airborne Squad, who arrives on the desolate remnants of Earth with a mission: to save humanity by reclaiming the planet from the Naytiba, a malevolent force that has ravaged it.

As EVE battles the Naytiba and uncovers the secrets buried within the ruins of human civilization, she discovers that her mission is far more complex than it seems. Earth has become a post-apocalyptic wasteland, featuring vast deserts and ruined cities like Xion, where a handful of survivors cling to hope. Most areas are overrun by the Naytiba, presenting players with intense hack-and-slash combat opportunities.

Players can develop EVE's abilities, unleash powerful skills like the Burst Gauge, and customize her appearance with various outfits as they navigate this story of survival and mystery.

Stellar Blade Gameplay

Stellar Blade is an intense third-person action RPG that blends stylish gameplay elements reminiscent of Devil May Cry, NieR: Automata, and Code Vein. Players control EVE, who wields devastating melee attacks to slice through enemies while also having the option to engage in ranged combat. Her arsenal includes an array of special, visually stunning moves, akin to Vergil’s Judgment Cut End from Devil May Cry, where she can strike enemies across the battlefield from all angles.

Combat emphasizes precision and strategy. Perfectly timed dodges, known as Blink or Repulse, reward players with Burst Charge, enabling a series of powerful, cinematic skills. Additionally, EVE can perform Perfect Parries to counter enemy attacks effectively. As players fight, they build Beta Energy, which powers devastating charged attacks.

The game features a semi-open world, allowing players to follow the main story or explore off the beaten path to tackle side quests, scavenge valuable items, uncover hidden secrets, and collect resources like cans. Upgrading weapons, armor, and unlocking new suits are key to enhancing EVE’s capabilities as players immerse themselves in this stunning, apocalyptic adventure.
