FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Overview
FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves is a 2D fighting game developed and published by SNK. The game is also part of the historic Fatal Fury franchise, one of the most popular franchises during the arcade boom in the 90s.
Serving as the sequel to SNK’s Garou: Mark of the Wolves back in 1999, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves marks the franchise’s return after 26 long years. One of the directors of the title, Yasuyuki Oda, confirmed that despite the game being the ninth game in the mainline series, it is the seventh canonical continuation of the story.

FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves Gameplay
In terms of gameplay mechanics, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves will retain many of the existing mechanics that the previous iteration had. However, the game will have a unique meter system called the REV System, which ties all of the existing mechanics and adds layers of depth on top.
The game will have a slew of single-player modes, like Episodes of South Town (EOST) and Arcade Mode, and other fighting game staple game modes like Local and Online Versus modes. Other auxiliary modes are also available, like Color Edit Mode and Jukebox Mode, where you can personalize your characters and listen to various tracks of the Fatal Fury series, respectively. Lastly, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves will launch with full crossplay as well as rollback netcode for an accessible and inclusive online experience.
