The overwhelming support has left the studio speechless and deeply moved to have connected with so many players who share their passion for feline companions. A similar message was shared in a Steam Community Update, where the developers noted they will continue to provide more information as development progresses.
GAZE IN GAMES CEO Solvita Zacha also shared a LinkedIn post on March 22 to personally thank fans for their support, acknowledging the immense responsibility and confidence players have placed in the studio. "Those millions of views, and 100k wishlists and all expectations - are a huge responsibility and a huge trust," she said.
What is Cat Parents?
Cat Parents is an upcoming cozy cat rescue simulator that tasks players with the heartwarming mission of saving abandoned and helpless felines. Set in an open city map, the gameplay involves navigating the streets on a bike to locate strays in distress and utilizing various tools and gadgets for unique rescue missions.
Once saved, these cats are brought to a customizable sanctuary where players must provide essential care (washing, feeding, and treating illnesses) to earn their trust and help them recover. Beyond individual care, the game features a robust management system that transforms the home base into a "cat paradise" by building climbing structures, tunnels, and cozy living ecosystems.
While players can keep their rescues, the game also emphasizes the rewarding process of screening and choosing loving adoptive families to find the cats their forever homes. The game supports both solo play and online co-op, allowing friends to share responsibilities and resources as they manage their sanctuary together.
