Songs of Silence Story Plot
Three centuries ago, the powerful Celestial Gods split the world into two – Sonnan, the realm of light, and Irdheim, the realm of darkness.
The realm of light was to be inhabited by the 1000 Kingdoms, where its humans are known as the Starborn. The Celestial Gods had created the Starborn to populate the realm of light where all the light shone. Thus, the Starborn were born with eyes in order to perceive the heavenly light. Representing the 1000 Kingdoms and the Starborn is the realm of Ehrengard, where a young Lorelai has been appointed as queen. Formerly a scion, she became the ruling monarch after her family was slaughtered by the ascending Crusade.
Meanwhile, the realm of dark is where The Old Race reside – ‘The Firstborn.’ Literal in their name, they were the first race of humans to walk the world. As light had yet to exist, all Firstborns were birthed with no eyes. They instead use their connection to the Hymn in order to grant them various powers and abilities concerning the world that surrounds them. Those Firstborn who have a powerful connection to the Hymn are called Monodika– and one such represents their race: Akard, a prodigy who can utilize the Divine Hymn–the life force that shapes the world. He uses his powers to protect his home against the rising Crusade.
Lastly, the Crusade are religious fanatics who propagate Silence in order to consume and reform the sacred Hymns, consequently resetting the world before it was split into light and darkness. The Crusade makes use of their Purgatories to devour even the Divine Hymn, where the Silence will take over in its disappearance and absence. Leading this front is the vicious Garin, a heartless and ruthless Godslayer whose only purpose is to please his mysterious eldritch masters.
The Firstborn and the Starborn, on the brink of annihilation and on the receiving end of relentless campaigns from the Crusade, must now band together to combat the Silence and survive. Will light and dark blend together to fight the forces of evil?
Songs of Silence Gameplay
Songs of Silence is a 4X real time strategy(RTS) game that features a story-rich single-player campaign adorned with gorgeous Art Nouveau visuals. You will manage your kingdom, gather resources, and expand throughout 20 different location types available across the realm of light and dark. Select your troops and order them across the world to accomplish tasks across different adjacent tiles or into long journeys into other settlements and kingdoms!
You will nevertheless come into constant conflict with your foes, and thus you will be able to train and command upwards of over 100+ units across the three different factions! Each unit will have their own strengths and weaknesses viable against different other units, so strategize your formations and win your battles flawlessly!
Both base expansion and combat will have the ability to use the innovative Cards of Fate system, where you will have dozens of available cards to use to recruit forces, upgrade your cities, or even summon special Godly aid. Use them accordingly and turn the tides of battle or protect your kingdom!
