MiSide: Zero Gameplay

MiSide: Zero’s publicly shown gameplay shows the game’s exploratory elements mixed with visual novel features. Footage from trailers and early builds shows players moving through rooms, examining objects, and interacting with their surroundings. The presentation uses lighting shifts and camera framing to draw attention to key elements within a domestic environment.
In early glimpses, MSZ appears to adopt an exploratory adventure gameplay with visual novel elements. Players navigate scenes to find interactive objects or trigger conversations, with each interaction framed through simple prompts or contextual commands.

Some of these will lead to player choices that affect later scenes or reactions. Visual and audio cues are used to shift tone and to mark important moments; community screenshots and developer posts highlight changes in lighting, character animations, and small scripted interactions that mark progress through a scene.
Like the original, MSZ is expected to also include mini-games throughout the story, and it will follow the original's pattern of having multiple endings as part of the core gameplay loop.
MiSide: Zero Story
MiSide: Zero is a fan-made, unofficial prequel and reimagining that centers on the blonde character, nicknamed Zero, who appears in the main MiSide story. The project’s creators describe it as a separate take on that character’s life before the events players see in MiSide, and the trailers and official channel for the project present it as a story-focused prequel.
Available statements from the team and early coverage say Zero’s life before the main game is quiet and heavy. He is shown as someone who feels stuck and tired of routine pressures, and those pressures are compounded by the death of a close friend.
However, after receiving a message from his deceased friend urging him to try the game MiSide, Zero finds himself trapped inside the virtual world, having grown emotionally attached to Mita, a digital character within the game.
