Mario Kart™ World
Mario Kart World is a racing game developed and published by Nintendo, released on June 5, 2025, as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2. It serves as the ninth main installment in the Mario Kart series and the first original console entry since Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U in 2014. This title introduced several innovations, including an open-world structure and a more expanded multiplayer capability.
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour
Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is an educational game released on June 5, 2025 as a launch title for the new Nintendo Switch 2 console. It functions as an interactive manual and demo of the console's new features, designed to introduce players to the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch 2.
The Legend of Zelda™: Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (BOTW) is an open-world action game developed by Nintendo, initially released on March 3, 2017, for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. Players assume the role of Link, who awakens from a 100-year slumber to find the Kingdom of Hyrule overrun by dangerous monsters. Switch 2 owners can purchase an upgrade pack for the game so that it can be played on Nintendo’s new console, or purchase the game and upgrade package as one.
The Legend of Zelda™: Tears of the Kingdom
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is an action adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It was initially released for the Switch on May 12, 2023, and serves as the direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game is the twentieth main entry in the long-running Zelda series, known particularly for its iconic characters and action-adventure gameplay. Switch 2 owners have the option to either buy an upgrade pack to make the game compatible with Nintendo’s new console or purchase a bundle that includes both the game and the upgrade.
SPLIT FICTION
Split Fiction is an action-adventure co-op game developed by Hazelight Studios, known for titles like It Takes Two and A Way Out. Released on March 6, 2025, it continues the studio’s focus on delivering cooperative multiplayer games.
Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world action RPG developed and published by CD PROJEKT RED. First released on December 10, 2020, the game is based on the Cyberpunk tabletop RPG series by Mike Pondsmith but is not a direct sequel or prequel to any prior entry.
Street Fighter™ 6
Street Fighter 6 is a fighting game released in 2023, developed and published by Capcom. As the seventh main installment in the Street Fighter series, it succeeds Street Fighter V (2016) and is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. One of its standout features is a real-time commentary system that adds a tournament-like atmosphere and includes crowd-style reactions to support the player.
BRAVELY DEFAULT™ FLYING FAIRY HD Remaster
Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster is an enhanced version of the original title, which was marketed under various names across different regions, specifically Bravely Default: Flying Fairy and For the Sequel in Japan, and Bravely Default: Where The Fairy Flies in other territories. This remastered version is for the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, coinciding with the console’s launch.
FORTNITE
Fortnite, developed by Epic Games, is a competitive online game and platform that debuted on July 25, 2017, for macOS, PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. The game later expanded its reach to other platforms like Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S upon the release of ninth-generation consoles in 2020.
Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy is an open-world action role-playing game set in the Wizarding World, first introduced in the Harry Potter books. Developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label, the game was released in 2023. It allows players to experience life as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during the 1800s, a century before the events of the original series.
Sid Meier's Civilization® VII
Sid Meier's Civilization VII is the latest installment in the iconic 4X strategy series by Firaxis Games and 2K, where players guide their own civilization through the ages. From technological innovation to cultural expansion, every decision shapes your society's progress and legacy.
Yakuza 0 Director's Cut
Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut is the definitive edition of the critically acclaimed Yakuza 0, and was released on the Nintendo Switch 2 as a launch title on June 5, 2025.
This updated version of the original game comes with new cutscenes that give deeper insight into key events in the series as well as character backstories, a new English voiceover, online multiplayer battle mode, as well as new combat styles and side quests to experience in the Tokyo and Osaka entertainment districts.
HITMAN World of Assassination
Hitman: World of Assassination unifies the content of Hitman, Hitman 2, and Hitman 3 into a single, streamlined package that includes the main campaign, Contracts Mode, Escalations, Elusive Target Arcades, and the new Hitman: Freelancer mode. It offers access to all missions from the trilogy through a simplified, unified interface for a seamless experience. The game is available on PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
DELTARUNE
DELTARUNE is the highly anticipated new title from Toby Fox, creator of the beloved indie hit UNDERTALE. The game shares many similarities with its predecessor, including a nearly identical art style and sprite design, bullet hell-inspired combat reminiscent of the Touhou series, and the familiar ACT and MERCY mechanics. Several characters from UNDERTALE also make appearances, further blurring the line between the two worlds.
Survival Kids
Available only on the Nintendo Switch™ 2, Survival Kids makes full use of the system’s unique communication and game-sharing capabilities to elevate the gameplay and amplify multiplayer fun. Set on a chain of distinctive islands perched atop massive Whurtles, players must team up—online with up to four players or locally with two—to explore, gather resources, craft, fish, cook, and solve challenges together. All the while, you'll need to survive the unpredictable hazards the islands throw your way.
Puyo Puyo™ Tetris® 2S
Step into an upgraded world of puzzle-solving as the iconic gameplay of Tetris® meets Japan’s fan-favorite Puyo Puyo series in the ultimate crossover challenge. Compete using classic Puyo Puyo or Tetris mechanics—or combine them for a fresh, fast-paced hybrid experience. Originally released for consoles on December 8, 2020, followed by a PC launch on March 21, 2021, the game later arrived as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Fast Fusion
Fast Fusion delivers one of the most intense anti-gravity racing experiences to date, featuring high-speed competition across stunning tracks like the lush Redwood Forest, the storm-ravaged world of Tempesta, and the soaring peaks of Yama Crest. Announced during a Nintendo Direct, the game launched on June 5, 2025, as a day-one title for the Nintendo Switch 2.
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is an action-strategy defense game developed and published by Capcom. The game is set on Mt. Kafuku, a mountain once blessed by nature but now corrupted by a dark substance known as the defilement. Players step in the shoes of Soh and guide the Maiden Yoshiro to set out and purify Mt. Kafuku and its neighboring villages. Players purify the villages during the day and prepare to protect the revered Maiden at night, using the land's remaining sacred masks imbued with remaining power to restore peace.
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma (simplified as Guardians of Azuma or RF:GoA) is an upcoming action RPG and life-simulation game developed by Marvelous Inc. It is set to release this June 5, 2025. Similar to Rune Factory Frontier and Tides of Destiny, this game is a spin-off in the Rune Factory series, which is itself a spin-off of Marvelous’ Story of Seasons (formerly Harvest Moon) series.
NOBUNAGA'S AMBITION: Awakening
Nobunaga's Ambition: Awakening, the sixteenth entry in the long-running series, originally launched on July 20, 2022, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch, with a U.S. release following on July 20, 2023. The game became a day-one title for the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025, giving players another opportunity to pursue Nobunaga Oda’s unfulfilled dream of unifying Japan on Nintendo’s newest platform.
Arcade Archives 2 RIDGE RACER
Ridge Racer joins the newly launched Arcade Archives 2 series with its Switch and PlayStation release, a continuation of the original Arcade Archives project that began in 2014 with the goal of faithfully recreating classic arcade experiences. This version includes four gameplay modes—three difficulty levels and a time trial mode where players race a rival for the best lap time—along with a deluxe edition that supports an H-shifter and clutch for added realism.
SONIC X SHADOW GENERATION
SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS is a bundle of two 3D action platformer games: a Remaster of the original Sonic Generations game from 2011; and Shadow Generations, a new campaign starring Shadow the Hedgehog that continued the ‘Year of the Shadow’ celebration throughout 2024– of which culminated at the end of the year with the release of the 3rd Sonic the Hedgehog movie featuring the iconic Shadow.
Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars
Suikoden 1 & 2 HD Remaster is the long-awaited return of the legendary RPG franchise Suikoden. It is an HD remaster compilation containing the first two games of the series being ported over to modern consoles. Initially released for the PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch on March 6, 2025, it was also released as a day-one title for the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025.
