Dispatch Season 2 Talks Begin
As Seriously As Anything

Dispatch developer AdHoc Studios is engaged in serious talks about the possibility of having a second season for the game. On December 17, AdHoc Studio co-founders Nick Herman and Pierre Shorette discussed the potential follow-up for the hit episodic comedy adventure.
The studio previously began thinking about the possibility of a sequel back in November 2025, when they reached the milestone of selling one million copies in ten days. Now, they have confirmed that talks about a second season are happening.
Herman told Eurogamer that fans are "mad" at the studio for not predicting that Dispatch would become a worldwide success, which is why a second season remains uncertain. This is the sort of "problem" the developers are currently facing as the community presses them for more information about what’s next for the game.

Shorette assured players that they are seriously considering a second season. However, he admits a sequel may struggle to meet fan expectations following the first season’s viral success, comparing it to how musicians come up with a second album.
"tThe tough thing is, it's like in music: you have your whole life to write your first album and then eight months to write your second. And there's a little bit of that feeling," he said. Herman added that there were "zero expectations" for season one, which is why making another season is tougher this time around.
He also mentioned that the team will meet in a few days to discuss the company's future, which likely includes development for Dispatch. "We're entering the time where we're going to really sit down and lay those plans out," Herman said.

Aside from Dispatch, however, AdHoc Studios also has another collaboration with Critical Role, which could also be coming out soon. Shorette noted, "It's been bubbling, simmering, I would call it. It's not full boil or anything. It probably has had pushes over the last year or so, at different points, but as Dispatch needed to get released, that took up a lot of our resources."
It would be shocking not to see a second season for Dispatch, considering its huge success and latest nomination for Game of The Year and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2025. Moreover, fans still have questions about several "loose ends," such as Invisigal’s motives and Shroud’s predictions, that the game left despite the first season seemingly having a conclusive ending.
Cut K-Pop Star Hero

Despite an impressive final roster, they also revealed that some characters didn't make the cut for Dispatch. One of which was Winter, a hero inspired by a mix of K-pop fashion and a "Japanese homeless man."
While Herman was uncertain about Winter’s K-pop inspiration, Shorette remembered how the hero was supposed to look like. "But the vibe was one of those homeless people where you're like, damn, you should be on a runway. He had a Korean idol-y kind of face. He looked like a Saja Boy undercover," he said.

Looking back, the developers felt like it was a missed opportunity to include him, especially since the release of Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters became a huge hit this year. Additionally, the developers planned to have Winter in the center of a love triangle storyline in the game.
"He was the one everyone was after. Yeah that would have been great. We should do that for Season 2. If there is a Season 2!," said Shorette. With the studio looking more likely to create a sequel for the superhero workplace comedy, it gives the chance for them to revisit previously cut characters from the game and possibly include them in the continuation.
Dispatch is available on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam, complete with all eight episodes of its first season. To stay up to date with the latest information about the game, check out our article below.
