The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Gameplay
Top-Down, Real-Time Action

The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is built around real-time action in a top-down perspective. Players directly control the protagonist using a variety of weapons, including swords, bows, scythe-chains, and bombs. It is encouraged to switch between these weapons depending on the situation. Encounters frequently involve multiple foes, prompting players to pay attention to enemy patterns and use positioning, guard, or dodge mechanics to avoid damage especially in tougher settings.
Traversal Challenges with Hidden Areas

The game's world features layered layouts with hidden rooms and breakable walls. There are even some optional shrines with mini-challenges. The traveling companion character aids the player, offering abilities like a dash and a teleport that let the player reach otherwise inaccessible places or reposition quickly during combat.
In structured segments like dungeons, the interplay between exploration and combat becomes more focused. The levels present puzzles such as timed platforming, gaps to cross, traps to avoid, and enemies with varied behaviors that require well-timed responses. Players must combine their traversal tools and combat toolkit in each area. Upgrading weapons via findable items gives incremental growth, and challenge rooms or gauntlets provide optional tests of skill for extra reward.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Story Plot
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Story

Humanity survives in isolation within the Kingdom of Huther, a city protected by a magical Spell of Safekeeping, while beast tribes and monsters overrun the rest of the continent of Philabieldia. After the discovery of a mysterious ruin outside the kingdom’s walls, the king dispatches the adventurer Elliot to investigate these ruins. Elliot, accompanied by Faie, a fairy visible only to him, explores the ruins and uncovers the Doorway of Time, which grants access to both the past and the present.
Using the Doorway of Time, Elliot and Faie must embark on a journey outside the Kingdom of Huther as they uncover layers of Philabieldia's thousand-year history. They delve deeper into the past as their intertwined fates reveal more profound truths about the continent's origins and the kingdom's past.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Setting

Philabieldia is a continent overrun by monsters and beastmen known as the Beast Tribes. The last stronghold of humanity lies in the Kingdom of Huther, protected by Princess Heuria's spell of Safekeeping.
The game's setting spans four ages of Philabieldia's thousand-year history—the present time of the Age of Safekeeping, the Dark Age of Reconstruction, the Golden Age of Magic, and the Age of Budding, when civilization is born.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales Characters
Elliot

The compassionate adventurer Elliot grew up in the orphanage, never knowing who his parents were. He makes a living by granting the townsfolk's requests and sets aside part of his income for this orphanage. Whenever he's not off on adventures, he spends time caring for the younger orphans.
Faie

Invisible to all but Elliot, Faie uses her fairy magic to aid Elliot on his journey. She could not remember much about her life before meeting Elliot, but she often senses that something important is missing from her memory.
Princess Heuria

Loved and respected by the people, the benevolent Princess Heuria protects the Kingdom of Huther with her spell of Safekeeping. Although she longs to step beyond the castle walls, she must remain inside to continue casting the spell.
King Hichard

King Hichard of Huther tethers himself to the royal precept, "Be not a prisoner of power." His focus on his nation's well-being guides his calm and measured rule. Nonetheless, he is also worried about his daughter and the duty she must uphold.
Kaifried

Astute and good at swordsmanship, the minister Kaifried opposes King Hichard's cautious reliance on the magic barrier as the kingdom's sole protection. Instead, he advocates for the proactive pursuit of new magic to safeguard them all.
Euygene

Formerly an adventurer, the royal scholar Euygene stands at the forefront of magic research in the kingdom. The king trusted his recommendation to send out Elliot to investigate the ruins outside.
