Sons of Valhalla Story Plot
Thorald Olavson and his wife Raya live peacefully in her homes when they’re attacked by Jarl who burned down their home and kidnapped his wife. As they cut him down and fled to England, Thorald finds himself in Asgard in front of Odin, who tells him of his destiny to rescue Raya. Odin blesses him and sends him back to the living world, where he begins his quest to England to rescue his beloved wife.
Sons of Valhalla Gameplay
Sons of Valhalla is a 2D side-scroller with beautiful shaded pixel art. It’s a unique blend of a strategic base-builder and engaging 2D action combat. As you step into England, you must establish your bases to have a place of safety and defense. Manage your fortress’ resources, and construct new facilities to allow more inhabitants and as a place to train. Amass enough forces by recruiting warriors into your fold, and become strong enough to lead your forces to siege and capture enemy settlements!
You yourself will command your warriors on the frontlines of the battlefield. Give them orders as you dive into battle armed with your sword, shield, bow, and other weapons to defeat your enemies! You can also choose to leave your soldiers behind and venture alone, for with the Allfather by your side, no one, not even the biggest warriors, will be able to best you in combat.

The gameplay trailer reveals more gameplay footage of the base building and combat, showing off the strategic intensity of the fights as you command your warriors against hordes of enemies and lay siege to settlements.

The Kickstarter launch trailer briefly shows off the game’s graphical pixel beauty and premise of the story, sprinkled with some gameplay to entire backers for the crowdfunding campaign. Even from the start, the game showed tons of promise.
