Heading Out Story Plot
In your boredom and long search for your next high, you take your car on the open highway and throw any plans of stopping out the window. Now you’re a fugitive across multiple states and have gained notoriety as the ‘Interstate Jackalope,’ a fugitive driver on the loose, infamous for their speed and unknown destination. Travel across the country and meet a wide variety of people! Help, don’t help, or race to establish your fame–or infamy–as the vigilante speedster!
The game will have a fame system and a branching narrative that will change the story depending on your choices and actions, which could result in a wide variety of possible endings!

Heading Out Gameplay
Heading Out is a first-person driving game mixed with a stylish visual novel narrative. The main gameplay loop will have you drive on the road and race other drivers you meet. The visual novel aspect lets you experience and influence the story through given choices that will impact the backstory of your character, resulting in different endings.
Manage and maintain your car as you drive through the interstates and escape the authorities. Outspeed and out-maneuver anyone who tries to block your way, and just keep on driving.
