Computer Repair Shop Overall Score - 58/100
Computer Repair Shop is fun, but only for the first hour or so. The game overall feels unpolished and seems like a bunch of unfinished concepts and features clumped up together. It’ll definitely make you laugh every now and then, but there’s not much else to it.
Computer Repair Shop Story - 6/10
You play as a computer repair technician in a bad neighborhood. There’s not much else story other than that. Undoubtedly unique, but a little more story would’ve been nice.
Computer Repair Shop Gameplay - 5/10
The game is all over the place. Repairing computers was initially fun, but almost immediately got old and became boring. Other minigames within the game weren’t worth spending time on either.
Computer Repair Shop Visuals - 7/10
The game isn’t all that fun, but at least it looks good. Graphics work well to immerse you within the game’s dark, dirty, and crime-filled atmosphere. It’s nowhere close to being spectacular, but it definitely doesn’t look bad at all.
Computer Repair Shop Audio - 7/10
Similar to the game’s visuals, the audio in this game is pretty good. The sound effects sound exactly how they should, and are full and clear. There’s no soundtrack, but there’s music occasionally depending on what’s happening in the game.
Computer Repair Shop Value for Money - 4/10
Computer Repair Shop is fun, but not fun enough to spend $10 on, especially since you’d probably get tired of it after just an hour or two.
Computer Repair Shop Review | Why I Have Trust Issues
If you think this game is solely about repairing computers, you’re wrong. You play as a computer repair technician in a dirty and crime-ridden neighborhood. On my first day, I stumbled upon a strange shop selling robots in a female human form for $300. The salesman then talked to me and emphasized that these robots “aren’t for battling.” I went on to go to my shop, excited to start my shift as a repairman. However, once I entered, I found three hobos hanging out who immediately attacked me. Unarmed, I retreated and went around the corner to talk to Steroid Man, who offered me help for only $50. Steroid Man, as jacked as he was, was absolutely no help, as he died after just one punch from the skinny homeless dude in my shop. Luckily, he handed me his baseball bat before going in, so I dealt with them myself. The shop was filthy, so I picked up the mop and went cleaning. All this happened before I even got to touch anything computer-related.
Actually doing the repairs is fun. Customers will come into your shop and leave their PCs with you. They’ll either leave a note that states their concerns or they’ll tell you themselves. This part of the game plays like a puzzler/simulator, with your only guide being the computer repair wiki, which you can access from your tablet. However, the wiki isn’t really as helpful as it was designed to be, and instructions aren’t always clear.
You could do the job well and make your profit honestly. However, you could also snoop through their files, steal their information, or install viruses and malware, which would grant you even more profit. You’ll have everything you need to make your repairs, and if not, you could have a drone deliver the component you need or buy the gadget you need from a shop nearby. Be careful though. Some criminals enter your shop and steal the computers waiting to be repaired. This’ll force you to pay the person who owns that computer. Make sure you close the door and check every time you hear it open.
After repairing a couple of computers, I quickly grew tired of it and found it very repetitive. Because of how crazy my morning went, I decided to explore this beautifully bad neighborhood further. I found a nightclub where you could get a VR dance or play Blackjack, an underground robot fighting club, a cat shop where you could buy things for your cat Fatfield, and a backroom with a teleporter and a shady dude saying he’ll pay you for “interesting pictures.” Sadly, all these other places aren’t really all that special, and there’s nothing else to do that’s worth your time.
Overall, the game started off strong, instantly piquing interest. However, it very rapidly got old and boring. There are better uses for your $9.99.

You’ll Get Some Laughs Out of It
The game definitely has its moments that make you laugh and go “what the heck.” Right from the get-go, the man in charge of the hostel I pay $50 a night to sleep in told me I look cute while I sleep. And then the very chaotic morning happened where so much weird and funny stuff happened before I was able to get to work. There’s funny stuff in people’s computers too. One dude had an image on his desktop, which of course, I checked out. Turns out that it was just a creepy photo, which tried to teach me not to mess with other people’s things. There’s also a bunch of funny easter eggs, like an app called STEEM that lets users play games like First Fantasy, Fort Fort, Past of Us, Skyram, and ZIFA.
You Have a Cat
In this game, you’re often accompanied by Fatfield, an adorable orange cat. Fatfield will always be in your shop, meowing occasionally while you scam your clients. He’s adorable and deserves all those goodies you buy him with the money you earn from taking advantage of people.

Gets Old Very Quickly
As mentioned above, the game gets old extremely quickly. Sure, it starts off fun and interesting, but that quickly goes away after an hour or two. There’s no point in making good money as the things you could spend it on aren’t really interesting. You can’t even upgrade or customize your place. Succeeding financially in games should reward you with interesting things you could spend your money on. Sadly, that isn’t the case for this game and there’s no point in making a fortune.
Instructions Aren’t Always Clear
It’s so easy to get stuck in this game just because you don’t know what to do anymore. All the help you get comes from the wiki you can access with your tablet. However, the information present in the wiki is a bit vague and only contains one image that serves as somewhat of a visual aid. It’s easy to lose all your money by buying the wrong parts, and when that happens it’s game over.
Overall Feels Unpolished
Given the game’s title, you’d expect that the game’s highlight is actually repairing broken computers. To some degree, it is. However, I feel like they placed too much emphasis on the other useless parts of the game, like the nightclub, the gambling, and all the other unnecessary and uninteresting places. That said, we have a whole bunch of content, but none of them are interesting or satisfying enough to spend your time on. It’s like a bunch of rushed concepts and features all clustered together to create a subpar and unpolished gaming experience.
Is Computer Repair Shop Worth It?
No, spend your money elsewhere.
Even for just $9.99, I wouldn’t recommend this game. None of the features and concepts feel polished enough to justify playing it for more than an hour. If you wanna build and repair PCs, play PC Building Simulator 2. If you wanna smack people with baseball bats and go to nightclubs, play GTA V. If you want to make robots and fight, play Armored Core 6.
Computer Repair Shop Overview & Premise
Play as a computer repair technician in a terrible, crime-filled neighborhood. Repair PCs and make an honest living or take advantage of them, steal their information, and infect their PCs with viruses. The choice is yours.
