Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Gameplay
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game plays as a traditional 1v1 fighter built around a four-button input scheme: light, medium, heavy, and a Flow button that changes how movement and follow-ups behave. The light/medium/heavy buttons perform context-sensitive normals when standing, crouching, or airborne, while the Flow button combines with directional inputs to access alternate follow-ups and movement options.
Activating Flow alters the properties of attacks and enables movement-centric actions such as directional "flows" and follow-up chains that extend or redirect combos. Based on the official "Tutorial Guide," players can use Flow both offensively (to extend pressure and create new combo routes) and defensively (to adjust spacing and avoid threats), and many special moves are designed to be linked from or into Flow transitions.
There are also selectable support characters that can be summoned to assist with specific utility or offensive actions; supports provide special attacks that alter a character’s playstyle and open additional combo and zoning options.
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Story
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game frames its narrative around a single-player campaign described in promotional materials as having an original story that connects characters from across the Avatar: The Last Airbender franchise. The game is confirmed to launch with a roster of twelve playable characters, though only seven were named in early trailers:
