Global Closed Alpha Playtest Starts February 27-March 1, 2026
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is set to release sometime in Summer 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S.
Although no specific release date has been announced, the developers announced that they will be holding a Global Closed Alpha Playtest for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game from February 27th to March 1st. The playtest will be held exclusively on Steam, and interested players have until February 20th to sign up via the game’s official registration form.
This test will feature a roster of five playable characters, including the recently revealed Toph Beifong, and aims to gather community feedback on the game's 2D bending mechanics and rollback netcode.

The Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Global Closed Alpha Playtest was announced just a week before sign-ups close on February 20, 2026.
October 28, 2025
A Closed Alpha Playtest was announced in the same month as the reveal trailer. It will feature four playable characters and is scheduled to run from December 5–7, 2025. A subsequent Global Closed Alpha Playtest was announced for a later date.

A much more substantial announcement was revealed when in October 2025, Gameplay Group showed a trailer for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, set to release sometime in summer 2026.
February 15, 2024
News of an Avatar: The Last Airbender fighting game surfaced when Maximum Entertainment announced a partnership with Paramount Consumer Products to develop a competitive fighting game set in the popular series during the company's 2024 roadmap presentation. An early access release was originally scheduled for 2025, but no further information or release has followed that announcement.
