During an interview with The Direct about his upcoming film "Kingdom Planet of the Apes," Ball teased Zelda fans about the progress on the live-action movie, expressing his optimism by saying, "It’s gonna be great," and assuring fans that they will be "happy." He shared his personal connection to the "Legend of Zelda," describing it as "one of the most important things ever in my life," and highlighted his lifelong journey with the games, playing them from childhood into adulthood.
Ball emphasized his dedication to the project, affirming his commitment to ensuring that the movie lives up to fans’ expectations, stating, "I am a fellow fan and will go to the ends of the earth to make sure that it is the movie we all hope it will be."
The live-action movie was announced in November last year, and when asked about the release date, Wes replied, "I can't even tell you that, or Nintendo will come after me."
