Armor King is One of TEKKEN 8’s Next DLC Characters
Revealed During Fahkumram’s Gameplay Trailer
Bandai Namco revealed Armor King as the next DLC character following Fahkumram. During Fahmkumram’s gameplay trailer, the video featured the game’s Season 2 pass, which showed the return of the brutal masked wrestler in the King of Iron Fist tournament.
In a Twitter (X) post on May 26, Bandai Namco shared a separate video to focus on Armor King’s announcement. His new look sees him don his classic armor outfit, mixed with gold accents and wrapped in gold chains. He also wears a fur neck coat and does his signature flame-breath taunt.
As a long-standing veteran of the series, Armor King has been a recurring character since the very first Tekken game. He was also part of Tekken 7’s DLC roster and was one of the most aggressive characters in the game. Fans are excited to see how his moveset will fare in Tekken 8, especially with the new Heat system. Many anticipate him to receive powerful and unique grappling options similar to King’s gameplay.

Fahkumram Coming on June 10
It’s not only Armor King who would be gracing Tekken 8’s DLC character roster, but also the previously teased Fahkumram. Tekken 8 has officially unveiled Fahkumram as its next upcoming DLC character with a gameplay trailer released during Combo Breaker last May 25, which showcased his Muay Thai brilliance and some of his alternate outfits.
He was first teased during Evo Japan on April 29 and has been the subject of discussion in the community ever since. Most fans feared that his inclusion could break the meta since he was already one of the most aggressive characters in Tekken 7. With his wide array of offense and long reach, many anticipate that balancing would be an immediate issue once he comes out.
Fahkumram is set to be released publicly on July 10, while Season Pass holders will get to play him 72 hours early on July 7. However, after Fahkumram and Armor King, there still seems to be one last character on their way to make their debut in the franchise. The game’s final DLC character for Season 2 is deemed a "new challenger," which indicates that they will be a new original character for the fighting game franchise.
