Stardew Valley Music is Overwhelmingly Popular
"Festival of Seasons" Concert Tour Adds more Dates and Locations
Stardew Valley creator ConcernedApe (real name Eric Barone) announced that the Stardew Valley Musical Concert Tour entitled “Festival of Seasons” will be including more dates and locations, due to overwhelmingly popular demand. The “Festival of Seasons” is a symphonic live concert performance featuring chamber orchestral arrangements and performances of the music of Stardew Valley.
Previously ConcernedApe said this inclusion of more dates and locations to be unlikely. In response to a user on Twitter(X) asking, “Do you think any more dates could be added at some point?” the game developer responded, “It's possible, but would likely be part of a different, future tour. This is the first run and still kind of testing the waters.”
It’s unknown what influenced the addition of more dates and locations, but it’s very likely that from the worldwide acclaim and huge audience that Stardew Valley has garnered, the initial announcement of the concert tour caused many fans to request for more dates and locations near them.
Just a quick glance when comparing both announcements, it’s easy to see how much more events were added to accommodate more fans in more places. All of the venues from the initial tour announcement received additional shows due to quickly being sold out.
Notable new inclusions in the U.S. are:
● Cincinnati, OH
● Portland, OR
● Tampa, FL
● Kansas City, MO
● San Francisco, CA
● Austin, TX
● Atlanta, GA
Canada also received expanded locations in Ottawa, ON, Vancouver, BC, and Edmonton, AB.
A surprising and welcomed new inclusion is the European tour, which was not initially planned outside of London. The concert will travel across Europe to the following countries:
● Birmingham, UK
● Manchester, UK
● Edinburgh, UK
● Berlin, DE
● Paris, FR
● Milan, IT
The Oceanic region was also given more dates, where new shows are planned in Australia and New Zealand. Australia will now also hold concerts at Perth, Wellington, and Brisbane, including the previously announced shows at Melbourne and Sydney. New Zealand gets its fair share of shows in Wellington and Auckland.
The Asian region received the least, with only two new additions planned at Singapore, SG, and Tokyo, JP.
ConcernedApe Thanks Fans for Listening To Stardew Valley Music
Stardew Valley’s soundtrack is widely loved by its fans, lauded by its ability to induce relaxation while going through everyday chores within the game. Players spend countless hours playing the game listening to the original soundtrack(OST), entirely composed by ConcernedApe, and so have since grown attached to its music.
The entire OST is available on Spotify and has been one of the many avenues fans worldwide use to listen to the music. Recently, fans of the music platform were privy to a huge surprise. From their “Spotify Wrapped,” the yearly Spotify event where users are given the data to reflect on their musical listening journeys from the past year, Barone himself had recorded a video message for the most dedicated fans who listened to the game’s music the most.
“I just wanted to say thank you and that I’m honored that you chose to spend so much time listening to the Stardew Valley soundtrack this year. I hope it brought you many peaceful and productive hours of enjoyment.”
He ends the video hoping fans had a wonderful year and wishing everyone another fantastic year in 2024.
