Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is making an appearance in the General Exhibit of Tokyo Game Show 2024, the first in four years. The official website released a list of companies participating in the convention, and among the 731 exhibitors with 3190 booths, Sony is confirmed to be one of them, with several booths lined up from Halls 1 to 8. While Sony has attended the Tokyo Game Show 2023, they were only present in the Demo Play area for their indie game releases. This year, Sony will join the likes of Capcom, Konami, and other large publishers in the main part of the convention.

It is currently unknown what exactly Sony plans to exhibit as the PlayStation company did a State of Play presentation last May to announce launches for a number of their 2024 releases, a number of which would have been released by the time Tokyo Game Show takes place. Sony has also previously stated in its most recent financial report statements that it has "no plans to release any new major existing franchise titles" before April 2025.

Tokyo Game Show (TGS) is one of the largest video game exhibition shows in Asia and will be taking place in the Makuhari Messe from September 26th to September 29th. The 2024 reiteration will be one of the largest TGS to date, with 731 total exhibitors (448 Japanese exhibitors and 283 from overseas) and 3190 exhibition booths as of July 4th.

For overseas game enthusiasts who wish to attend the event, Public Day general admission tickets for international visitors will go on sale July 25th, 12:00 JST. Attendees can purchase a One-Day Ticket for 3000 JPY, or a Supporters Club Ticket for 6000 JPY, which includes an exclusive TGS 2024 Special T-shirt and sticker, along with priority entrance. More information about ticket selling is available on their official website.
