Slayer is Finally Revealed for Guilty Gear STRIVE
The Father of Dandyism Returns
The Laid-back and Dignified Vampire, Slayer, has returned to "meddle" with the mortals once again in Guilty Gear Strive. Slayer is canonically known to be one of, if not the strongest, characters in the Guilty Gear universe, lore-wise. It's hinted in the series that he has never used the full extent of his power. He uses his vampiric powers to strengthen his attacks as well as his blood-sucking capabilities to heal his injuries, but finds it distasteful. He is the founder of the Assassin's Guild, an organization that was originally formed to punish evildoers when the law could not. It's also noteworthy that Zato-1, Millia Rage, and Venom are part of the organization.
He also practices "dandyism," a lifestyle that practices utmost respect and importance to class. With his thirst for blood always being sated due to Sharon's special condition that renders her immortal, Slayer never succumbs to bloodthirst as compared to Nagoriyuki, the new vampire samurai introduced in STRIVE. Lastly, Slayer is known to meddle in the affairs of various characters in the series. He usually assists them in giving advice or warning even if he feels it's beneath him or not his place to do so.
Big Reads, Big Damage
Gameplay-wise, Slayer is known to be a heavy damage character with special moves that have evasive capabilities to take advantage of huge counter hits and openings. He is revealed to have some of his older moves like Dandy Step, Pilebunker, and Blood-sucking Universe. He also has new Overdrives which strengthen his fist to a level where he even undressed himself after hitting his opponent as well as a grab to turn himself younger and presumably stronger.
