Pokemon Unleashes Various Collaborations

Pokemon Go Exclusive Route Event in Asakusa, Japan

Pokémon GO Japan unveiled a unique event set to take place in Tokyo's Asakusa district, featuring the fusion of official routes and Pokémon GO-inspired Ukiyo-e map-style artwork. Running from November 25th to December 10th, the event introduces eight official routes that lead players through historic areas of Asakusa.

Each route comes with special spawns, featuring Pokémon like Pikachu, Snorlax, Ralts & Gardevoir, Eevee, Darumaka, Magikarp, Meowth, and Litwick. Along with this, special raids will take place in Pokemon gyms in the area and will feature Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Tornadus, and Thundurus. There will also be various decorations and artwork shown along the routes, and in-person rewards for trainers who complete any of the eight official routes.

A collaboration between Pokemon GO and McDonald’s Canada was announced by the Pokemon GO team on the game’s official site early this month. During the month of November, McDonald’s restaurants in Canada will host sponsored PokeStops that will offer trainers exclusive Field Research tasks and reward them with items like Stardust and Rare Candy.

Additionally, trainers can showcase postcards received from these Sponsored PokeStops to friends. The collaboration marked a first-time partnership between Pokemon GO and McDonald’s in Canada, with promises of more special promotions in the future. “We’re excited to partner with McDonald’s in Canada for the first time, and we hope you enjoy these perks! Keep an eye out for future announcements and other special promotions with McDonald’s in Canada.”

Adding a touch of luxury to Pokemon merchandise, Tiffany & Co joined forces with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham for a Pokemon-themed jewelry collection. Scheduled for release on November 29, 2023, the collaboration features nine distinct pieces, each showcasing a pendant shaped like a Pokemon.

The Tiffany & Arsham Studio & Pokemon capsule collection draws inspiration from Daniel Arsham’s Pokemon art exhibition, A Ripple in Time, which debuted last year in Tokyo. The collection will showcase iconic Pokemon such as Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, Jigglypuff, Cubone, and Mew.

The limited-time collection offers different styles, including pendants with individual Pokémon and a station necklace with six Pokemon, crafted in oxidized sterling silver with diamond accents. Pikachu, arguably the most popular Pokemon, receives a special 18k yellow gold pendant.

The gold Pikachu pendant is encased in a custom Tiffany Blue Poké Ball, while the oxidized sterling silver styles are presented in a co-branded Tiffany Blue Box embossed with the Tiffany & Arsham Studio & Pokemon logo. The Tiffany & Arsham Studio & Pokémon capsule collection will be available for a limited time on Tiffany.com starting November 29, 023 at 9:00 AM EST until November 30, 2023, 9:00 PM EST.
