Event Theme and Art Unveiled
In related news, Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2024 invited 80 indie developers to showcase their upcoming titles. The event, organized by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association, will run from September 26 to 29 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The deadline for entries for the "Selected Indie 80" concluded two weeks ago. As of now, there are lists of specific studios participating at Tokyo Game Show 2024.
Traditionally, TGS has been a launchpad for Japanese developers, both large and small, to present their games to a global audience. While big names like Square Enix and Capcom are expected to participate, this year's event puts an emphasis on smaller studios taking center stage. The theme for TGS 2024 was revealed as "Trailblaze the World with Gaming," with the event's main visual created, for the fifth consecutive year, by illustrator Kukka, who is known for working on various light novel art.
Last year's TGS featured projects from the likes of Altus, Square Enix, Bethesda, Capcom, Sega, 505 Games, and Koei Tecmo.
