TOTK Phone Wallpapers

Nintendo took to Twitter (X) to mark the anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, acknowledging "one year since the launch" and prompting fans to share their "favorite memories from exploring the land, skies, and depths of Hyrule." The accompanying new artwork features Link and Zelda plummeting from the skies, with Link reaching out to grasp Zelda's hand as she appears to be in a slumber.

Furthermore, Zelda's official Japanese Twitter (X) account informed fans that they could acquire the artwork for free, along with two additional pieces, as phone wallpapers by visiting the provided link, although users are required to have a Nintendo account to download. Fortunately, creating a Nintendo account is free of charge.

The two additional artworks depict an alternate version of Link reaching out to rescue Zelda from falling further, while Zelda attempts to grasp his hand. The middle artwork portrays Link facing away, with his Ultrahand glowing.

TOTK Official Soundtrack, Art Book, and Replica Master Sword

Nintendo Japan also recently revealed new Tears of the Kingdom merchandise that will be available in Japan in celebration of the game's first anniversary. Their website states that they will be releasing the official soundtrack, a book that delves into the making of TOTK, and a replica of the Master Sword.

Official Soundtrack

The Tears of the Kingdom Official Soundtrack will feature 344 tracks spread across nine CDs. The limited edition will include an original Master Sword-shaped USB containing 15 high-resolution and 5.1-channel sound sources, along with a pedestal for decorative purposes, all for the price of 19,800 yen (roughly $127). The Normal Edition, priced at 13,200 yen (roughly $85), will also be available. Both editions are set to be released by Nippon Columbia on July 31, 2024.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Masterworks

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Masterworks book will be divided into three sections highlighting the art, materials, and story, providing an in-depth look at its production process. It boasts a substantial volume of 464 A4-sized pages, featuring never-before-seen artwork, newly drawn artwork, and concept art from the early stages of development.

Additionally, it includes storyboards for "Dragon's Tears" and delves into the history of Hyrule. Scheduled for release on August 30, 2024, this book is set to be priced at 6,930 yen (roughly $44).

Master Sword Replica

A replica of the Master Sword, being made by BANDAI SPIRITS for their PROPLICA series, was first shown off at TAMASHII NATION 2023. Now, it has a confirmed release date and price of 22,000 yen ( roughly $141), set to hit shelves this September. Measuring approximately 105cm in total length, it features 8 BGM songs selected from the "Legend of Zelda" series, sound effects associated with the Master Sword, and "vibration gimmicks" synchronized with each button action. Additionally, the Master Sword will include a scabbard and a dedicated pedestal.
