Hi-Fi RUSH is Getting a Physical Edition and Final Update

Tango Gameworks Thanks Fans for Continued Support

In the wake of Microsoft's announcement to close Tango Gameworks, the developers of Hi-Fi RUSH took to their Twitter (X) account to announce that they are "working to release the physical edition of Hi-Fi RUSH" in collaboration with Limited Run Games. They also mentioned a "final patch to address some minor issues," which has recently been released.

Initially, the game was available only in digital format. However, Hi-Fi RUSH will soon have a physical version thanks to Limited Run Games, a company specializing in publishing physical copies of indie, classic, and collectible games. The developers have not yet announced the exact release date for the physical edition.

As of now, the tweet has amassed 1.2 million views, 24 thousand likes, and 3.7 thousand reposts, with fans showing strong support for the game. Twitter user @k_huntington commented, "I'll buy the physical day one," while one of the top comments from @videotechuk stated, "Microsoft doesn't have any valid reason to shut you down. You deserve so much better... Microsoft should never be trusted."

User @reece_us asked, "What happens when the licensed music expires a decade from now? Is the game delisted, or are we getting a full streamer mode with original music?" Some of the replies suggested that the digital release will likely be delisted, while others advised purchasing the physical version to avoid potential issues with music licensing in the future. As of writing, the developers have not liked or responded to any of the comments and questions under their post.
