Palworld Reaches 25 Million Players in Just 1 Month

Palworld Reaches Pokémon Numbers

Palworld recently shared on their official X(Twitter) account that their game’s total number of players "exceeds 25 million" with 15 million players on Steam and 10 million players on Xbox and Xbox Game Pass. They further shared that they will continue to "prioritize fixing bugs and preventing further cheating."

In just one month since its early access release, Palworld has achieved remarkable success, rivaling the sales numbers of the mainline Pokémon games. To put it in perspective, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet reached 23.23 million units sold in September 2023, nearly 11 months after its release on the Nintendo Switch.

With Palworld's meteoric rise, the game this year alone could potentially rival those of Pokémon's all-time best-selling games Red, Blue, and Green on the Game Boy, which collectively sold over 31.38 million copies.

While the precise earnings of Palworld remain uncertain, given the inclusion of Xbox Game Pass players, The Game Awards' official X(Twitter) account recently stated that the game's revenue is "likely north of 450 million USD."

Palworld's massive success highlights the need for the Pokémon franchise to elevate its games, especially considering the ongoing divisiveness among fans with each new generation. You can read our thoughts about what Palworld Can Teach Pokémon below.
