Two Masters of the Experimental Horror Genre Join Forces

The Game Awards stunned audiences after Hideo Kojima took the stage to share details of his new game “OD.” While Kojima was discussing what kind of game “OD” will be, a new silhouette was mysteriously introduced. It was revealed to be Jordan Peele, former half of Key and Peele and current horror film director. Peele shared his gaming experience with Metal Gear Solid 2, touting Kojima as a genius, saying that “he’s on a whole ‘nother level.”

Peele continues to talk about the game, describing it as “completely immersive and utterly terrifying.” Kojima states the collaboration to be very unique, as he[Kojima] grew up watching movies, but is now a game developer, whereas Peele grew up playing games, but is now a movie director.

Kojima further teases other creative collaborations currently under-wraps, saying he cannot reveal them at present time, but assured that they are all “legends,” personally dubbing them as his “Avengers.”

Peele finishes the presentation by stressing “What this man is building here, is unlike any other game. It is going to be crazy.”

Hideo Kojima Shares a Short Avant Garde Teaser for "OD"

Before the stunning collaboration between the two directors were revealed, a short trailer of Kojima’s newest game, “OD,” was shown. The trailer stars actors Sophia Lillis and Udo Kier, uttering and repeating the mysterious phrase “The hungry purple dinosaur ate the kind zingy fox, the jabbering crab, and the mad whale and started vending and cracking.” with different emotions. Not much other information about the game is available.
