⚫︎ inXile Entertainment Studio Head Brian Fargo, who has worked on complex RPGs like Fallout and Wasteland, has called Clockwork Revolution the "most complex game" of his career. Its difficulty comes from deep character creation, high world reactivity to player choices, and the time-travel mechanic that lets players rewrite history.
Fargo cites a scene with the shopkeeper Alfie that showcases how brutal the game can be when it comes to responding to player choice. The world is unfair, and it is something that the players can expect to be playing in.
