Everything Announced at Capcom Spotlight June 2025
Resident Evil Requiem Creator's Message Showcase Reveals Game's Concept and Series Evolution

Capcom has lifted the curtain on Resident Evil 9: Requiem in its latest Creator’s Message, offering a chilling first look at what’s shaping up to be the series’ boldest entry yet. The presentation dives into the game’s central concept—what the developers are calling “addictive fear”—and reveals a haunting new chapter set in Raccoon City, now reimagined 30 years into the future.
Among the most striking reveals—or confirmations, in this case—is Grace Ashcroft, the game’s uniquely vulnerable protagonist who stands in stark contrast to past heroes like Leon Kennedy.
According to the team, while past installments focused on survival against mounting odds, Requiem will explore helplessness and dread from a new, more intimate perspective, allowing players to switch between first and third-person views to customize their horror experience.

The showcase also touched on the visual evolution of the franchise, promising a leap forward in both graphical fidelity and conceptual storytelling. And with several beloved characters having fallen in previous entries, the developers describe Requiem as a kind of farewell—a “Requiem” in both tone and title.
Additional developer interviews and behind-the-scenes content will be made available through the Resident Evil Portal. Resident Evil Requiem launches February 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
PRAGMATA Shows Off Hacking and Combat in New Gameplay Spotlight

After years of radio silence and multiple delays, Capcom’s enigmatic new IP PRAGMATA is finally coming into focus. Fresh off its 2026 release date announcement at Summer Game Fest 2025, the game just received a gameplay spotlight that dives headfirst into its combat and hacking systems, offering a closer look at the tools players will need to survive the game’s stark sci-fi world.
Set in a near-future where humanity has reached its technological peak following the discovery of Lunam Ore and the development of Lunafilament, PRAGMATA follows protagonist Hugh Williams as he navigates a crumbling lunar base rocked by a catastrophic moonquake. Rescued by an android he dubs “Diana,” Hugh must shoot, hack, and fight his way through a hauntingly desolate moon installation in search of answers.

Combat in PRAGMATA blends traditional gunplay with a unique hacking mechanic, enabled by Diana herself. A brief but telling segment of the spotlight shows players needing to hack into enemy defenses—via a quick mini-game—before they can open fire. The hacking mini-game is now live and playable on the game’s official website.
PRAGMATA is set to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Other Capcom Spotlight June 2025 Announcements

Judging from the short, 22-second spotlight teaser Capcom recently posted on its official YouTube channel, the June 2025 Capcom Spotlight event will feature four main titles from their lineup, namely: Resident Evil: Requiem, Pragmata, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Street Fighter 6.
Although there’s always room for surprises, these four titles will likely take center stage for the event, particularly the two upcoming releases announced and showcased in Summer Game Fest 2025.
Past events have also sprinkled in announcements of sales and classic Capcom games making a return, so never say never!
Resident Evil: Requiem and Pragmata Front and Center

While Capcom wasn’t the biggest name to drop announcements during Summer Game Fest 2025, it absolutely stole the show in the closing stretch with the reveal of Resident Evil: Requiem, the ninth mainline entry in the legendary survival horror series, alongside a fresh trailer for the long-awaited Pragmata. Both titles were finally given a 2026 release window, much to their fan base’s celebration.
Each game only got a short moment in the spotlight, however, leaving more questions than answers in their wake. But now, with their own stage and all the time they need, these two heavy hitters could easily become the main attractions of the event.

Nothing’s been confirmed yet in terms of gameplay, trailers, or deeper dives, but even a sliver of new info might be all Capcom needs to keep the hype alive and roaring into 2026.
Monster Hunter Wilds May Finally Get Some Much-Needed Performance Fixes

Although it launched to a decent reception, Monster Hunter Wilds is now sitting at an "Overwhelmingly Negative" rating on Steam, thanks to a swarm of performance issues that continue to plague the game.
Based on the event’s teaser trailer, the Monster Hunter Wilds segment of the spotlight looks like it could feature either a sit-down with the developers or a live presentation detailing what new features—and more importantly, fixes—are on the way.
There’s still no confirmation on what exactly Capcom has planned for Wilds during the event, but if the current wave of fan feedback is anything to go by, it had better involve some much-needed improvements.
Street Fighter 6’s Year 3 DLC Characters Might Roll Out Soon

Street Fighter 6 may be deep into its third year and is far from being the newest kid on the block, but its DLC engine is still firing on all cylinders. Early June’s reveal teased this year’s incoming fighters—Sagat, C. Viper, Ingrid, and Alex—yet the first in line, Sagat himself, still lacks an official release date.
With the latest teaser offering fresh hints, now’s the perfect time to shine a spotlight on when each of these heavy-hitters will leap into the ring.
There's no confirmation of whether we'll see the whole line-up of DLC characters get their release dates at the spotlight, but from what the teaser has shown, Sagat will be very likely to receive his.
