Resident Evil Requiem is an upcoming action, horror thriller from Capcom, releasing on February 27, 2026 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, Epic Games, and the Nintendo Switch 2. It is the long-awaited ninth mainline installment in their legendary, genre-defining Resident Evil series as it celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. This new entry was promised rejuvenate and introduce a new era of the Resident Evil franchise.
Take on the role of the Resident Evil's new protagonist Grace Ashcroft, an FBI technical analyst who investigates a series of strange and mysterious deaths linked to an unindentified disease. She was ordered to return to the scene of her mothers' murder, which forces her to face her dark past. This takes the game to return to Racoon City, which is now in ruins after the events of Resident Evil 3. With some of the city still standing amidst its destruction, players can revisit and delve deeper into this decaying, post-apocalyptic city.
