Varsapura Overview
Varsapura is a newly announced open-world game currently in development by miHoYo (HoYoverse internationally). It was first revealed in November 2025 via a 31-minute gameplay demo, though no official release year, platforms, or final launch date have been announced.
The game takes place in a modern-urban environment that appears heavily inspired by Singapore (for example, recognizable streets and landmark-style buildings appear in the demo). The protagonist works for an organization called SEAL (Shadow Emergency Alliance) tasked with investigating a psychic phenomenon called "Mindrot," a corruption that manifests from humanity’s collective consciousness and gives rise to shadow creatures. One of the first revealed characters is Hollowone, a rookie SEAL applicant, who is drawn into missions alongside the SEAL officer Sayuki in order to uncover the figure behind the said corruption.
Varsapura retains elements familiar from HoYoverse’s prior titles. It has a fast-paced combat system with character-swapping mechanics. Players can also chain special abilities during combat. Like Neverness to Everness and Ananta, the game allows players to drive vehicles in the open world map.

Varsapura Gameplay
Varsapura makes use of a third-person action framework built around multi-character party composition. Combat allows for character swapping mid-battle, and this enables the use of individual abilities that chain into each other, similar to systems seen in prior titles by the same developer. Each character wields distinctive weapons, such as an umbrella functioning both as a melee weapon and a tool for gliding, and executes a normal attack, a skill, and an ultimate move.
However, the game also implements stealth mechanics. There are segments where avoiding detection is viable, and the environment is used to navigate between mission points by foot or vehicle.
Given HoYoverse’s past titles, the game is expected to be a free-to-play title with gacha mechanics, though this has yet to be confirmed.
