The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Story Plot

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is set in an alternate timeline where Zelda, not Link, is the one saving Hyrule as countless rifts spread across the land. With Link out of the picture, Zelda and a mysterious fairy named Tri must use an artifact called the Tri Rod to conquer all obstacles in their path and restore peace to the once-prosperous kingdom of Hyrule.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is an action puzzle platformer where Zelda’s wisdom and cunning take center stage as she utilizes the Tri Rod to make copies of environmental elements called Echoes. Everything around her, from furniture and inanimate objects to special blocks and defeated enemies, can be recalled as an Echo to be used again.

Stack countless boxes to reach a ledge or summon waves of former enemies to defend you—your imagination is your only limit in a kingdom full of echoes to copy.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom’s Nintendo Direct June 2024 trailer shows a brief rundown of the game’s overall narrative, which centers around the Alvarez Empire Arc of the FAIRY TAIL manga. Alongside a few snippets of the game’s combat system, this trailer also showcased a montage of various combined abilities and other bits of gameplay footage before revealing the game’s Winter 2024 release date.
