New Magatsuhi Skills and Unique Skills

In addition, SMT V: Vengeance introduces new Magatsuhi Skills that certain groups of demons can perform. Also, each Demon now has a Unique Skill that provides additional benefits. With these things in mind, you can customize your party composition to adjust to what skills you need or want to use in battle. An example used in the Complete Guide video about Unique Skills was the synergy between Feng Huang, Moloch, and Surt, and how their passive skills strengthen fire attacks done by the party.

New Demon Haunts

The game also introduces Demon Haunts where you can talk to the demons currently employed in your team. You can converse with them and even gain rewards based on your choices and outcomes that happen throughout the game. Moreover, you can also talk to the human NPCs that will be joining you on your journey about the current events, choices you could've made, and more. There will also be a free camera to get the perfect photo with you and your Demons.

Special Side Quests

Players can now assume control of an individual character and guide the actions of demons, such as Alice and new additions like Nahobeeho, during various quests. These quests focus on non-combat tasks and offer rewards like new skills. Additionally, these demons may become your new Demon Navigator.

Map Exploration
Image

In addition to improved map exploration with quality-of-life enhancements like mini-map upgrades, the game introduces a fast travel feature called Magatsuhi Rails. These rails offer shortcuts to various areas, some of which are only accessible through them. Traversing Da'at is enjoyable, as you are accompanied by a Quest Navigator who leaves a vapor trail to track their movements. Stopping points are marked by a pillar of light from the spot where they are first discovered.
