LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Gameplay
For the first time in the series, players can explore an open-world Gotham City. This hub world allows for free exploration, crime-stopping, and the discovery of collectibles and challenges. Players can navigate the city's rooftops by gliding with Batman's cape or using a zipline, or travel on the ground in the Batmobile.
Master Batman’s Familiar Arkham Combat
The game introduces a new combat system that is heavily inspired by the Batman: Arkham series. It features fluid attack chains, over-the-top takedowns, and gadget use. Players can utilize stealth to perform takedowns from above or from the shadows.
Each character's signature gadgets—like Batman's Batarang and Batclaw, Robin's line launcher, and Catwoman's whip—will be essential for both combat and puzzle-solving. There will also be unlockable costumes and styles for the main heroes, including iconic looks from different Batman films and comics
The Stealth Approach
With Batman’s signature array of detective gadgets, stealth offers a fresh dimension to gameplay. He can hide in the shadows and grapple to gargoyles, allowing him to take down opponents silently.
The game retains familiar mechanics from the Arkham series, where hanging from tightropes and sneaking up from behind enables stealth takedowns. However, the approach is more comical here, contrasting with the gritty violence of the Arkham games.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight tells an original story that serves as a "love letter" to the 86-year history of the Caped Crusader. The game weaves together iconic moments and elements from across Batman's various media appearances to create a new, definitive narrative of his journey.
The story-driven campaign traces Bruce Wayne's origins from his early training to his emergence as a legendary crime fighter. Its narrative is designed to show the full evolution of Batman, from the "wrathful Dark Knight" to the "brilliant detective" and even the "unlikely father of the 'Batfam."
It features the creation of the Bat-Family, with a smaller, more focused roster of seven playable characters: Batman, Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul.
As Batman's career progresses, he confronts a growing list of iconic DC Super-Villains, including The Joker, The Penguin, Poison Ivy, Ra's al Ghul, and Bane. The humor and lightheartedness of the LEGO brand are used to infuse these darker elements with a family-friendly twist.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is set in Gotham City, Batman’s iconic hometown. Fans of the series will recognize familiar locations such as ACE Chemicals, the Gotham City Police Department, and Arkham Asylum.
Players can freely explore the open world, gliding with Batman’s batwings or traveling via the Batmobile and Batcycle for fast-paced traversal.
