Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Gameplay
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet appears to be a third-person action-adventure game much like Uncharted and The Last of Us. Based on the reveal trailer, the game features the protagonist, Jordan, engaging in close-quarters combat with a lightsaber-like weapon. Additionally, the trailer showcases sequences where the camera shifts to a perspective behind Jordan’s spaceship, which could indicate that players will have direct control over the spacecraft and enable them to traverse the game’s star system.
While not much is known about Intergalactic’s gameplay, Neil Druckmann has said that "this will be the deepest gameplay in Naughty Dog’s history, taking our learnings from our previous franchises and pushing them beyond anything we’ve ever done before."
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet Story Plot
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is set in an alternate 1986 where advanced space travel is commonplace. The narrative centers on bounty hunter Jordan A. Mun, who is pursuing the Five Aces criminal syndicate. This pursuit leads her to the remote planet Sempiria, a world that has been isolated for over six centuries. No one has successfully left Sempiria's orbit during this period.
While tracking a Five Aces target, Jordan disregards warnings from her advisor and travels to a Sempirian moon. The planet's history is marked by a complete communication blackout hundreds of years prior, with previous attempts to investigate its past resulting in disappearances. Despite these ominous signs, Jordan proceeds, becoming stranded on the planet and subsequently engaging with hostile, blade-wielding robots in an effort to escape. Ultimately, she seeks to break the 600-year cycle of failed escape attempts from Sempiria.
