Hogwarts Legacy 2 has been confirmed to be in development, but what could it be about? How will it play? Read on to see the possible directions it could take, what new gameplay features it might get, and everything else we know so far.
Hogwarts Legacy 2 Gameplay
Hogwarts Legacy 2 will most likely retain the same open-world RPG gameplay from its predecessor, just with expanded mechanics, features, content, and magical spells to use. The exploration within Hogwarts will no doubt be another key feature, as its twisting magical corridors were what brought the magic of adventure from the original in the first place.
One highly requested but unaccounted activity in the first title might finally make its way to the sequel, which is Quidditch! Many were left disappointed with the wizarding sport’s absence, and their voices were loud and clear as they played through their school year. Perhaps finally for the impending sequel, as well as the recent release of the spin-off game Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, players will be able to find the Golden Snitch.

We still have no inkling as to what Hogwarts Legacy 2’s story will be about, but it could very well pick up from where we left off in the original, where our protagonist character defeats Ranrok but at the cost of Professor Fig’s life, finishes their fifth year at Hogwarts, and wins them their house’s House Cup at the end of the year.
However, what could also happen is for another completely different adventure to start at a different time period, where our character will hold another special ancient trait such as the ability to see traces of ancient magic.
On the other hand, it has already been confirmed by Warner Bros. that Hogwarts Legacy 2 will be tied to the new HBO series, which follows the timeline of the books, so the sequel might center around an established or known character in the Harry Potter universe to expand on integral events in the mythos. It’s also possible that the game will serve as a tie-in to events in the future Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them movies set in the early 1900s but within the grounds of Hogwarts, since it’s closer to the timeline of the first game.
