In Crypt Custodian, dying is just the beginning of your troubles. The story follows Pluto, a black cat who, after his untimely demise, finds himself in the afterlife. Things take a turn for the worse when a disastrous encounter with the Afterlife Guardian Kendra leads to Pluto’s banishment to the outskirts of the afterlife, where he’s forced to serve as its eternal janitor and custodian.

Determined to escape this fate, Pluto must navigate through the eerie and diverse locales of the afterlife, encountering a host of quirky ghosts and battling fearsome beasts along the way. His ultimate goal? To find a way back to the castle and break free from his servitude once and for all.

Crypt Custodian Gameplay

Crypt Custodian is a charmingly animated metroidvania that stars Pluto, a delightfully unexpressive black cat. After being banished to the outskirts of the afterlife and condemned to serve as its eternal janitor, Pluto must explore diverse biomes, battle foes, and navigate challenging platforms to break into the castle and end his servitude.

Armed with his trusty broom, Pluto fends off wildlife and sweeps through dungeons, uncovering new areas and solving puzzles that reward him with valuable bonuses and upgrades. The game’s cozy combat system is as enchanting to watch as it is to play, offering epic boss fights and a satisfying mix of exploration and challenge.
