Hollow Knight: Silksong Release Date and Time

After years of waiting, Silksong was finally released on September 4, 2025, a date that had been announced during the Hollow Knight: Silksong - Special Announcement stream! It is available on PC, PS5, PS4, the Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Prior to this, the only tangible confirmation fans had of a potential release was Team Cherry's Matthew Griffin's statement on the game's official Discord channel that it will release sometime "before holiday" of 2025.

Team Cherry's Matthew Griffin announced on Twitter(X) that Hollow Knight: Silksong will be delayed. Despite initial plans for a first-half 2023 release, Team Cherry determined that additional development time was necessary to meet their vision for the game.

Sony confirmed in a tweet that Hollow Knight: Silksong would also be coming to PS5 and PS4.

A new trailer for Hollow Knight: Silksong debuted at the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase in June 2022. The announcement confirmed the game's availability on Xbox Series X|S and its inclusion in the Xbox Game Pass library at launch.
Xbox's Twitter(X) account confirmed that the game would be coming in 2023.
