Supervive Ends after 6-7 Months of Live Service
Falling Player Counts Contributed To Its Shutdown

Supervive, the MOBA/Battle Royale hybrid developed by former Riot developers, has officially entered its sunset period as the development team announced its shutdown. Servers will remain active until February 25, 2026, at 6 PM PST, but no new updates will be released during that time.
Developer Theorycraft has stated in an FAQ that the decision to cease the game’s operations stemmed from difficulty in keeping enough players engaged throughout the game’s lifespan. Executive Producer Jess Nam also pointed out on the Supervive X (Twitter) account that they were faced with the "difficult reality that maintaining the game was not sustainable" due to dropping player counts.

The game will still be playable until its shutdown on February 25, but in-game purchases and transactions with real money have been disabled. In addition to this, players can opt for a full refund on any in-game purchases they’ve made since September 16, 2025, by submitting a request to their player support until the game’s shutdown date.
Supervive’s shutdown comes as a bit of a surprise, since players and critics have both seen it as an ambitious and fun title that could have improved its flaws through enough time and optimization. We gave it a score of 76 for its fun, exhilarating mix of battle royale, MOBA, and hero shooter mechanics, diverse roster, and sprawling map, but found the Armory System—a key feature for customizing character builds and progression—to be clunky and frustrating to deal with.

Supervive’s Last Patch and the Future of TheoryCraft

Following this announcement, Supervive has received its last patch today. Version 2.04 of the game introduces a new, prototype game mode called Prisma Party, where teams of six fight each other to extract resources called Prisma, an in-match currency used to unlock and upgrade gear in your Armory. The patch also brings in balance changes as well as the last few skins for the game, all of which are free to claim.
As for the future of the studio, Nam pointed out in her heartfelt statement to players on Twitter that Theorycraft would be shifting towards a new direction and looking into different kinds of games that "live more squarely between indie and triple A." She even hints that players will see a different version of the studio altogether upon their next release, but until then Theorycraft will be going dark to figure out their next steps.
