Super Mario RPG to Receive Patch to Fix the Progression Bug in December
Paratroopa Bug Preventing In-Game Progression
Nintendo has confirmed the presence of a bug in the Super Mario RPG game for Nintendo Switch, which may hinder players' progression. The issue arises after the Paratroopa event triggers in Monstro Town, leading to the Paratroopas not appearing as intended when players go to Land's End, consequently preventing further progress in the game.
Nintendo said they are actively working on a software patch to address the bug, with plans to release it in December 2023. Players experiencing the issue can look forward to the forthcoming software fix, which aims to provide a permanent solution to the progression problem in Super Mario RPG on Nintendo Switch.
Paratroopa Bug Temporary Workaround
In a post on their official support page, Nintendo suggested that players who encounter this issue should navigate to the Mushroom Kingdom and then return to Land’s End to address the bug temporarily. This action is expected to prompt the Paratroopas to appear as intended.
Nintendo clarified that entering the town around the castle in the Mushroom Kingdom is sufficient, and you will not need to go inside the castle. Players can use the map to travel to the Mushroom Kingdom without any issues. When returning to Land’s End from the Mushroom Kingdom, they have the option to use the map or select the "To World Map" option.
