Doro Spotted!
Developer SHIFT UP just dropped a trailer for their upcoming Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC collaboration. The video was uploaded to YouTube on May 22, and fans spotted the peculiar chibi-dog meme Doro that many are shocked to see in the trailer.
At the end of the video, Doro made a quick appearance and had a short interaction with Stellar Blade’s protagonist Eve. The online meme sensation is fully animated and visualized in all its glory, doing poses, running around, and ending the trailer with a laugh.
The meme began from a fan art of Stella Unibell from the game "Soulworker", where she was depicted as a chibi-dog. It was picked up by various Korean NIKKE forums and did the same to NIKKE’s Dorothy, which later was known as "Dororong". Her cute and chaotic personality spread globally, being also known as "Gremlin Dorothy" and even used outside the NIKKE community.
Furthermore, her godly presence reached SHIFT UP CEO Kim Hyung Tae, where he and his wife were spotted in 2024 with a Christmas-themed Doro plush. It remains unclear what the lovable and quirky chibi-dog’s role is in the collaboration, but fans are both excited and stunned by the bizarre yet deserving addition of Doro.
Stellar Blade x NIKKE Launches June 11
The highly anticipated crossover event launches on June 11, alongside the release of the game’s PC version. According to its official website, this add-on expansion will feature a new boss battle, NIKKE-themed rewards and outfits, a new mini-game, and more.
The website reads, "The warrior Scarlet has arrived from Shift Up’s hit third-person shooter mobile app to challenge you in a one-on-one showdown for the ages – only by defeating this new Boss, can you claim a new costume, hairstyle, and song for EVE as a reward."
Additionally, the new mini-game is inspired by NIKKE’s sci-fi shooting gameplay, and players can visit a rewards shop owned by NIKKE’s faithful robotic dog Volt, offering themed outfits and cosmetics. Players can also take a break and enjoy fishing, where they can reel in six collectible NIKKE items.
There is no information yet regarding the specifics of the outfits and other rewards included in the DLC expansion. Regardless, fans are ecstatic to see both SHIFT UP games collaborate and produce an amazing experience for both franchises.
