Ubisoft just dropped the latest trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, offering a glimpse into the game's narrative and intricate web of crime woven by the Zerek Besh crime family. Protagonist Kay Vess finds herself squarely in the crosshairs of the Zerek Besh, forced to undertake a daring mission to secure her freedom.
Accompanied by her endearing axolotl-like companion, Nix, Kay embarks on a high-stakes heist to steal a substantial fortune from the Zerek Besh while navigating a network of alliances and foes. According to narrative director Navid Khavari, players will have the opportunity to shape Kay's journey as they traverse the galaxy, taking on jobs for various syndicates and facing the consequences of their actions.
"As you travel the galaxy, you'll encounter a range of syndicates and you'll take on jobs for them which can impact your reputation both positively and negatively," wrote Khavari in a blog post. Set between the events of 'The Empire Strikes Back' and 'The Return of the Jedi,' the game capitalizes on the chaos of the era, where the criminal underworld thrives amid the Empire's distractions.
Star Wars Outlaws releases for the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on August 30, 2024.
