Upcoming Update Adds New Building, Jukebox, and More
Schedule 1 continues to be one of Steam’s top-selling games, and looks to stay there for a long time with its consistent updates. In a Twitter (X) post on May 1, TVGS solo developer Tyler revealed a first look at the upcoming update.
In his post, Tyler shared several images of what fans can expect in the game’s next patch, which is almost ready for open beta. The photos feature a new building with a sign that says "Stash and Dash," a Jukebox which many speculate would give players the chance to change the game’s soundtrack, and an empty corridor.
Despite the first look, there is no official announcement for when Schedule 1’s next update will drop, but it will first enter its beta branch before its full release. To access this, fans must head to their Steam settings for the game and change their Beta participation to beta. More details have yet to be revealed, but fans can check out the game’s Trello board to learn more about TVGS’s plans and updates.
Plans for Map Expansion
Last week, Tyler started his first dev stream on Twitch, connecting and giving fans an insight into his plans and upcoming updates for the game. In his first livestream, he showcased some 3D modelling he has done for the game and his vision for a future map expansion.
According to Tyler, he plans to add a "swampy, slummy area" and looks to expand the fancy side of the town, adding more houses over the cliffs. After he accomplishes these, his next goal will be to work on the island across the main area.
Although these sound amazing and would improve the game, they may come much later as Tyler is a solo developer, so creating these expansions would take some time to finish. Regardless, fans are still excited about what the game has in store for the coming updates.
