Months after the troubled launch of co-op FPS Payday 3 in 2023, the game's developers, Starbreeze Studios, announced it is laying out plans for improvements and has set up a team of developers to further work on the game. Read on to know more.

Payday 3 Makers Starbreeze Creates a Veteran Dev Team to Improve Game

More Details on Their Plans Coming in February

Payday 3 faced several problems across all platforms upon its release, disappointing players who looked forward to a seamless heisting experience. In response to the challenges encountered during the launch, Starbreeze Studios announced that it formed a "strike team" composed of veteran developers from design, community, communication, and production teams to bring Payday 3 to fans' level of expectation.

This team is dedicated to creating a comprehensive plan to shape Payday 3 into the best heisting experience for players, both in the short and long term. The company committed to communicating this plan in February, outlining upcoming improvements and their expected timelines.

Starbreeze is letting players contribute ideas on the Payday 3 User Suggestions page, where players can either upvote someone else’s comment or write their own. "We’re well aware that many of you aren’t satisfied with the game the way it is in its current state. Since launch, we’ve been reading your valuable feedback in forums," shared the developers.

Payday 3 Looks to Dust Itself Off

Starbreeze Studios' CEO Tobias Sjögren previously issued an apology on Twitter for the challenges faced during the game's launch, and expressed their commitment to improving the game. Players ran into server and matchmaking issues, while other players complained about the lack of Quality of Life (QoL) features in Payday 3.

The game is sitting at 'Mostly Negative' reviews on Steam as of January 2024. The CEO acknowledged that while it is impossible to anticipate every scenario, the studio aims to perform better moving forward.
