Payday 3 Matchmaking Functionality Frustrates Players

Payday 3 CEO Committed to Doing Better

Game developer Starbreeze Studios' first-person shooter, Payday 3, disappointed players with server issues across all platforms on launch day. Players who were excited to finally pull off the perfect heist faced problems with matchmaking, while some could not even get into matches at all. This server issue also has been reported by players who had three-day early access to the game.

Starbreeze Studio’s CEO, Tobias Sjögren, took to Twitter(X) to address and apologize for the launch day fumble and said "although it’s impossible to prepare for every scenario – we should be able to do better".

Payday 3 Server Updates

Payday 3’s official account tweeted a server update the following day stating that players can now create lobbies and enter a match, but might still face a few issues.

The matchmaking function seems to be a constant problem however as servers remain unstable.
