English PV Teaser Released
Light and Night, Tencent Games’ popular otome mobile sim, is set to launch for the SEA server. On March 20, the developers launched an English PV across the game’s social platforms, sparking significant excitement from a community that has long anticipated an English localization.
Despite the hype, some fans remain cautious, as a similar launch of global social media accounts in November 2025 was later revealed to be fan-made rather than an official announcement. The Facebook and X (Twitter) profiles were so well-made that the community mistook them for official accounts.
A thread on the r/otomegames subreddit revealed that the user came clean after, stating they did not expect the situation to escalate so significantly. They subsequently deleted the X (Twitter) page and wiped all content from the Facebook account.
With regards to the current Light and Night SEA accounts, skepticism has only intensified following the sudden suspension of the game's official SEA X (Twitter). As of writing, there is no substantial information about the situation, but fans are adamant that it is real this time.
Meanwhile, popular otome personality Ikémen Fangirl has confirmed the Light and Night SEA release is legitimate after reportedly being contacted by the developers. While she removed her initial tweet to correct typographical errors, a video containing the same details remains live on her official YouTube channel.
What is Light and Night?
Light and Night is a massive otome (female-focused romance simulation) mobile game developed by Aurora Studio and published by Tencent Games. It was first released exclusively in China in 2021 and has since become one of the most successful titles in the genre alongside Love and Deepspace and Tears of Themis.
The game blends visual novel storytelling with card-based progression and interactive dating mechanics. Players step into the role of a junior fashion designer in the fictional Guangqi City, navigating a career and personal journey shaped by a "runaway bride" past.
The plot reveals a supernatural world hidden within the fashion industry, centered on the player’s relationship with five distinct male leads: Osborn, a professional racing driver; Evan, a CEO and the protagonist’s childhood friend; Sariel, a top-tier designer; Charlie, a prestigious doctor; and Jesse, a popular actor.
Following its massive success in China, the game was eventually officially released in Taiwan and South Korea, leading up to the current 2026 expansion. As of writing, Tencent Games has yet to announce any specific release date for Light and Night’s SEA version, which is expected to launch on iOS and Android devices.
