GACHIAKUTA: The Game (working title) is an upcoming survival action RPG based on the titular anime, being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Following the season finale of the GACHIAKUTA anime, publisher and developer Com2uS has officially announced a new game for the series.
GACHIAKUTA is a high-octane dark fantasy manga and anime series created by Kei Urana, currently ranked as one of the top-viewed anime shows worldwide. The series is known for its unique "graffiti-punk" art style and its gritty, rebellious themes about how society treats those it considers "trash." With the new game announced,
In a press release via Games Press on December 22, Com2uS CEO Jae-kwan Nam noted that this new project aims to "expand the appeal of the anime into an interactive experience." "Gachiakuta is a powerful series that blends explosive action with deep philosophical messages. We look forward to expanding its appeal through a game that allows fans to fully immerse themselves in its world," Com2uS stated.
Stylish Survival Action RPG
According to the press release, GACHIAKUTA The Game is a "stylish survival action RPG that captures the series’ gritty worldview, graffiti-inspired visuals, and dynamic action." Players must venture into monster-infested "Trash Zones" to complete high-stakes missions.
Although the developers have yet to unveil gameplay footage of the game, they promised to showcase the anime's.visceral combat and unique artistry into a polished, high-performance experience across PC and console platforms. Furthermore, it will feature cel-shaded visuals with stylish character art that tells the unique story of the anime.
GACHIAKUTA The Game is currently being developed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. This new title is a continued collaboration between Com2uS and Japanese publishing house Kodansha, producing high-quality anime game adaptations for multiple IPs, including the latest and upcoming projects such as Oh! My Goddess (February 2025) and TOUGEN ANKI (TBA).
