As the dust settled on the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, the top trainers across the globe emerged after a weekend of fierce Pokémon competition. The 2024 Pokémon World Championships took place in Honolulu, Hawai’i from August 16-18, bringing together the world’s most skilled trainers. The event featured tournaments for Pokémon UNITE, Pokémon GO, Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), and Pokémon Video Game Championships (VGC). Pokémon GO Adds Morpeko
Pokémon GO confirmed the upcoming addition of Morpeko, a Pokémon known for its form-changing ability, in the game. "Coming soon: Morpeko will charge into Pokémon GO, changing the way you battle! Certain Pokémon—like Morpeko—will be able to change form in battle by using a Charged Attack, unleashing new possibilities for you and your battle team."

Trainer’s Pokémon Returning to Pokémon TCG
Trainer’s Pokémon is making its way to Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG)! First introduced years ago, these cards feature iconic Pokémon owned by beloved trainers from across the franchise. Trainer's Pokémon is set to make a comeback sometime in 2025. Featured trainers included the like of N, who will return with fan-favorite Pokémon Zoroark and Reshiram. Pokémon TCG Pocket Gets Release Date
The ceremony also unveiled more details about Pokémon TCG Pocket, a mobile version of the traditional card-collecting game. Pokémon TCG Pocket confirmed it will officially launch in October 30. Pokémon Unite New 'Mons and Other Announcements
Three new Pokémon wil be joining the roster of Pokémon Unite: Armarouge, Darkrai, and Psyduck. Amarouge will arrive in the game on September 12, followed by Darkrai in October, and Psyduck sometime around November. Pokémon World Championships Confirms Anaheim in 2025, and San Francisco in 2026
The Pokémon World Championships also confirmed where they will be heading next. In 2025, the Pokémon World Championships will be held from August 15-17 in Anaheim, California, before moving to San Francisco, California, on August 28 to 30, 2026.
