Dynasty Warriors: Origins Looks to be As Action-Packed as Ever!
The latest game for the Dynasty Warriors franchise has just been unveiled during the State of Play May 2024! Titled as "Dynasty Warriors: Origins," it’s slated to release next year in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, where it will have the largest armies and most electrifying gameplay in the series’ 27-year history.
The developers over at Omega Force are making use of the modern hardware of the PS5 to prepare an exhilarating 1v1000 battlefield experience that the franchise has been known for, and it can be seen from the flashy and awesome action being shown in the trailer. A lone hero can be seen engaging an entire battlefield’s worth of enemies, striking and cleaving in giant swings, eliminating them in action-packed combat!

Speaking of the hero, we have no clue of who they might be! The trailer flashes the words "IN A WORLD OF CHAOS, A NAMELESS HERO RISES." This entails that players will be playing through the historical tale of the War of the Three Kingdoms from the eyes of a new hero that will be introduced to the series! It could either be a predetermined character that will eventually be revealed as another historical figure, or perhaps an entirely original character the players can create and rise through the ranks with to become the most powerful Dynasty Warrior!
